The sixth season of Two and a Half Men was just as humorous as the first and there are some fun bonus features in the DVD.

The premise of the show is that one confirmed bachelor/womanizer lets his divorced younger brother and nephew move in with him in a Malibu beach house. The three males each have their own behaviors and combining them often lead to the most humorous and strange situations and dialogues.

Charlie Harper Grows Up

The sixth season has a number of memorable moments and unforgettable episodes. This is the year Charlie (Charlie Sheen) finally grows up and commits himself to one woman. He falls for Chelsea, the only woman in six seasons who has tamed the wild man enough to get a marriage proposal out of him.

Charlie is new at monogamy and caring. After all, he’s been a love-em-and leave-em guy for his entire life, and the five previous seasons of the show. But now he must settle down and learn to take care of another person and put her feelings above his own. But when Chelsea is sick, he has a hard time playing a compassionate nursemaid.

And when Chelsea wants Charlie to spend the night at her house, the whole night, it brings up many conflicts for the previously confirmed bachelor.

This season also has one of the funniest episodes with Alan (Jon Cryer) and a dummy. Not the kind of dummy he was married to the second time, but a real wooden dummy with whom Alan feels a connection and can relate to. He’s in an emotional slump and turns to his new “friend” for companionship.

And Alan’s first wife, Judith, has a new baby, with Charlie helping in the delivery.

The bottom line is this season is a growing season for Charlie Harper.

Bonus Features

The bonus features on this four-disc box set include a special about Jake Harper played by Angus T. Jones. The feature emphasizes the fact that Angus is a natural when it comes to acting and hasn’t let the celebrity go to his head. And, Angus is a smart boy, whereas Jake is, well, he’s definitely not a smart boy.

Another bonus feature focuses on the women of the series. Without the women the two and a half men would be nothing. There’s Rose, the next door neighbor who stalks Charlie, Berta, the acid-tongued housekeeper, Evelyn, Charlie and Alan’s mother, and Judith, Alan’s first wife and Jake’s mother.

Interviews with the cast and crew make up the two bonus features, and there is a very funny gag reel as well.
