The Canadian sitcom Corner Gas was an instant hit beginning with its premiere in 2004. The story revolves around a group of friends in the small town of Dog River, Saskatchewan. Corner Gas was created by and stars stand-up comedian Brent Butt. Guest stars for the show's fifth season included Duane "Dog" Chapman of Dog the Bounty Hunter and 24 star Kiefer Sutherland.
Episode 1: Cable Excess

When Oscar (Eric Peterson) complains about the lack of local programming, a local cable producer enlists Brent's help to decide which new show to put on local access, leading to a healthy dose of competition between friends. Meanwhile, Hank (Fred Ewaniuck) tries to avoid getting arrested for egging the cable van.
Episode 2: Spin Cycle

When Karen (Tara Spencer-Nairn) joins a cycling class, she inadvertently becomes the "teacher's pet." Meanwhile, Lacey (Gabrielle Miller) volunteers to help with a charity calendar before she realizes it will include nude photos.
Episode 3: Whiner Takes All

When Lacey plays golf with Brent and Hank, she learns that Hank is a poor loser. Meanwhile, Emma (Janet Wright) buys a new mattress and begins dreaming about the salesman, and Davis (Lorne Cardinal) accepts bribes in exchange for ignoring parking tickets.
Episode 4: Dark Circles

When Brent starts wearing a different color shirt, Lacey discovers an attraction to his inner "bad boy." Meanwhile, Hank creates crop circles to scare the other citizens of Dog River, but ultimately the joke is on him when new crop cirlces start to appear.

When the others threaten to wash Hank's truck, Wanda (Nancy Robertson) may lose an important phone number which was written in the dirt. Meanwhile, Karen's drawings of "Sleeping Davis" are a big hit at the Ruby.
Episode 6: The Eight Samurai

While the town tries to think of a good gift for their twin city in Japan, Emma searches for the missing gift which the twin city sent them. Meanwhile, Lacey tries to make the Ruby and Corner Gas more "green," and Wanda is more annoying than supportive while filling in at the bar.
Episode 7: Buzz Driver

When Oscar is mistakenly asked to fill in for the regular school bus driver, he refuses to take any lip from the surprisingly well-behaved kids. Meanwhile, Hank's new advertising for the Ruby is a bit too aggressive, and Wanda tries out some new energy drinks.
Episode 8: Classical Gas

When the needy child Emma and Oscar sponsored (now grown-up and a doctor) visits Dog River, Hank tries to make Brent seem more impressive. Meanwhile, Wanda is unable to do basic math and enlists Karen's help, and Lacey discovers a way to get her customers to try new and unusual food.
Episode 9: Game, Set and Mouse

When Wanda injures her back, Emma and Karen try to help her. Meanwhile, Oscar tries to trap a mouse in Corner Gas, and Brent and Hank invent a new game: seeing how gullible Lacey can be.
