The Canadian sitcom Corner Gas is set in the small town of Dog River, Saskatchewan and follows the "adventures" of the town's residents. The first episode of the show's second season is a follow-up to the last episode of the first season, "I Love Lacey," in which Brent and Lacey discover their possible feelings for one another. The rest of the season's eighteen episodes are stand-alone stories. Episode 2: Wedding CardWhen Oscar (Eric Peterson) and Emma (Janet Wright) admit that they never married, Davis decides to organize a wedding for them. Meanwhile, Hank (Fred Ewaniuck) and Brent fight over a hockey card which Brent won from Hank in a game of knuckles, and Lacey becomes convinced that Oscar is illiterate. Episode 3: Smell of FreedomWhen Davis falls off a ladder and regains his sense of smell, his sensitivity to new smells causes friction with Karen. Meanwhile, Brent tries to learn more about his friends so his jokes won't be considered so insensitive, and Lacey tries to figure out why Hank always beats her at Scrabble. Episode 4: WhataphobiaWhen Lacey admits that she is afraid of balloons, the others try to discover what Wanda (Nancy Robertson) is afraid of. Meanwhile, Oscar has Karen do the cooking for him so he can appear a better cook than Emma. Episode 5: Lost and FoundWhen Hank needs some help with fencing on his cousin's farm, Brent works hard to ensure that he won't owe Hank any favors. Meanwhile, Karen's hackey sack gets stolen, and Oscar's new hobby is collecting trash from the side of the road. Episode 6: Poor BrentWhen Brent tries to keep his new big-screen TV a secret from his friends so they won't come over all the time, they mistakenly believe that he is poor. Meanwhile, Lacey buys jewelry from Wanda and then becomes obsessed with proving that she was ripped off. Episode 7: Hero SandwichWhen Lacey invents a new sandwich, the Ruby Club, she becomes frustrated at its sudden popularity. Meanwhile, Mayor Fitzy (Cavan Cunningham) instructs Karen and Davis to crack down on jaywalking in order to fund a new stoplight. Episode 8: Security CamWhen Brent gets a security camera for Corner Gas, people are surprised to see what really gets said behind their backs. Meanwhile, Davis buys a taser and Hank tries to get tased. Episode 9: Bingo NightWhen Wanda takes over calling bingo, Emma is frustrated by the end of her losing streak. Meanwhile, Karen has some time off and starts hanging out with Brent, which leaves Hank feeling lonely. Episode 10: Mosquito TimeWhen Hank seems immune to mosquitoes, the others try to figure out his secret. Meanwhile, Oscar volunteers at the gas station so Emma can get him out of the house, but he causes more trouble than Brent could have imagined. Episode 11: Hurry HardWhen Brent breaks with his parents to form his own curling rink, the two teams fight over the clueless curler Lacey. Meanwhile, Karen tries to safeguard the Clavet Cup. Episode 12: An American in SaskatchewanWhen an American tourist accidentally arrives in Dog River, Hank is assigned as the town's goodwill ambassador. Meanwhile, the new ATM in Wes's (Mike O'Brien) liquor store draws customers away from the Ruby. Episode 13: Pandora's WineWhen Lacey brings nice wine to a dinner with Oscar and Emma, bumping them up into a "new wine bracket," they attempt to get revenge by introducing Lacey to more expensive foods. Meanwhile, Hank wins $480 in the lottery and struggles over what to do with his newfound wealth. Episode 14: Doc SmallWhen the town tries to get a new doctor to move to Dog River, they are all thrown for a loop when the doctor turns out to be a woman from an even smaller town. Meanwhile, Karen goes crazy trying to explain logic puzzles to Hank. Episode 15: Rock On!When Hank, Wanda, and Brent decide to get their old band Thunderface back together, they don't realize that people like them because they're funny, not because they're good. Meanwhile, Davis decides to help Oscar prove that a country singer stole his song so he can go to the concert to "investigate," and Lacey discovers the dark secret behind Dog River's name. Episode 16: Air ShowWhen Lacey causes a stir by staying open during the annual air show, she botches every attempt to make things right. Meanwhile, the gas station is closed due to a health hazard, and Hank opens a corn stand. Episode 17: Slow PitchWhen Lacey agrees to host a meeting of the Harvester's Club, she may not make it to the slow pitch game in time for her team to win. Meanwhile, Karen and Davis pretend they don't know people are drinking during the game. Episode 18: Harvest DanceWhen Hank starts dating a highway worker, he causes a stir when they others believe she is from Wullerton. Meanwhile, Lacey feels like she's not a part of the community, so Brent involves her in a plot to pretend he and Oscar like Emma's jelly salad. Sources:
